Yes, I am one of those crazy vegans you try to run away from. I would have never written this story, but I get asked this question all the time:
“So, what made you go vegan?”
If you are even remotely interested in veganism, I suggest you read this. If you are not, I still vehemently suggest you do. About 6 years, I was one of the majority that hated vegans. In fact, I never took the time to listen to what ‘veganism’ actually meant and if you had asked me back then, chances are that I would have told you “I’d never be vegan”.
But the more articles I read on the internet through social media, the more it made me think. I assumed vegans were ‘mad’, but it was only later that I realized that there was a method to this madness. I made an ethical choice to go vegan almost 5 years ago. Like most other choices I make, I gave this a lot of thought, but implemented veganism in my life instantly. I wanted to ‘try’ the lifestyle for a while, but never thought it would stick with me.
