This is a different perspective of Fight Club and it should be applauded. However, the comparison of your dad to the film may be right on a personal level. Though it was a weird movie, it was based on a novel and it’s one of the best movies of our time. Definitely not garbage to me, and I wouldn’t say that it is just about toxic masculinity, though there could have been something to it. At the end of the day, we learn what’s good and what’s not from movies. Given that an all-women version of Fight Club is in the works, I hope it would be something positive for feminism.
