Streaming — If that isn’t the word of the century, I am not sure what else is. Never did I think that there would be a term for watching movies and shows on a platform that piggybacks off your internet connection. But, here we are!
The Ridiculous Cost of Entertainment in Canada
I miss my late childhood and early teenage era where I would just turn on the TV and had about some 250 channels to flip through and find what I always wanted. The only issue back then, was that there was too many good shows to watch. But this is even better — we got all this through a cable that ran from the street to our house and eventually the TV. All my dad had to pay was a measly 100 rupees ($ 1.22), give or take inflation.
Later on, when I moved to University, we had DTH (Direct to Home) services from a satellite. Here, the cables ran from a dish antenna on the top of the house to the TV. The price we paid for this was slightly higher than what we paid for cable, but it had more channels and more packages.
