So, Have You Given Up on Your Dream Yet?

I would never believe you if you said that you never had a dream. Everyone has the right to dream, and it costs nothing for you or me to dream about something we really want. We dream about many things, but there is that one special dream that we all have of how we want our life to be.

Let’s face it — no one’s dream is to wake up at 6AM to an irritating alarm, bang the snooze button a couple of times, brush their teeth, have a hurried shower, grab some peanut butter sandwiches and drive a couple of kilometres to work, dodging traffic, getting mad at every single vehicle that’s in front of them.

Why Did We Give Up on the Real Dream?

During the wonderful years of our childhood, where the only thing that worried us was homework at school, we all had a dream. This dream may have not been too realistic, but I’m sure we held on to it for a while, until we realized that it was too fictitious.

Nevertheless, as we kept growing older, our dreams changed. We dreamt of a better life, where we did not belong to the 99% of the population that worked everyday and lived paycheck to paycheck. We wanted to be someone — an actor, a pilot, an astronaut or a photographer. Then, there were also some people like me who wanted to be a published author.
