Fall — A Poem

Long weekend’s come to an end,
Kids are off to school again;
Colder air marks summer’s end
Streets are glistening with rain.

Leaves are slowly losing green,
Turning orange, leaving trees;
Pumpkins will be getting mean
Pleasant fragrance in the breeze

Evening walks no longer lone,
Bustling leaves keep company;
Squirrels taking their nuts home
Places to see, are too many!

Autumn’s her another name,
Peace and tranquil, she brings;
Hockey or Soccer - it’s time for game
Lover’s fingers get their rings.

Couple months and few more days,
’til a white blanket covers all;
Though fallen, again she’ll find her way
’til then goodbye, my dear Fall!
