If you spend a lot of time sitting on the toilet, it is probably because your gut is not very healthy. It has become a trend these days for people to do ‘cleansing programs’ which last a few days or sometimes, even weeks.

They may work, but then again you get back to your normal eating routine and your gut gets back to its bad old shape again. The only good way to maintain proper gut health is to be mindful of what you eat. That doesn’t mean that you have to spend a lot of time and money buying food that will keep you healthy. These are some simple foods that you can find in your local grocery store and in fact, cook and eat everyday.

Water

Did you know that water is essential in maintaining your gut health? It flushes out the toxins out of yours system and dilutes your food, making digestion easier and quicker. Hydration will have a very good effect on your body, and you will not only feel it internally, but also externally. Proper hydration can even make your skin feel better.
