3 Tips to Make Yourself a Better Reader

Reading is a gift that is always underestimated. You may not understand the value of reading because you are able to read. But for those who do not have the luxury of literacy, reading or writing is a privilege they yearn for.

I saw a person browsing through a flyer at the grocery store today. He just flipped through the pages and put it in his shopping basket and carried on. Likewise, you read many things everyday — the news, your emails and even now, you are reading this story.

We all read to complete our tasks, but that is no good when compared to pleasure reading. The new generation likes to avoid reading as much as possible. But how many ever podcasts or audiobooks you listen to, it can never match the reading experience.

Start Making Time

“I would love to read, but I don’t have any time for that!”

That is a lie you tell yourself, and others too. You have time to watch television, but no time to read? This can be sold to someone else, but I am not buying that. However, for argument’s sake, let’s say that you really have a limited time to read. Say for example, you have half an hour to read before you go to bed, or 15 minutes to read when you drink your morning coffee.
