Productivity. It’s such a simple word that you and I come across almost everyday in our lives. While most of us choose to be productive, we are unfazed by the fact that we aren’t even 1/4th as productive as we want to be. Whether you are employed by a firm or self-employed, the more work you get done, the earlier you can go home and relax.
Initially, I thought that productivity was about working hard. But after I read many books and listened to the experts, I understood that it was not about working hard, but working smart. Over the last few years, I have also learnt that working smart is not easy; it takes some practice, trials and errors to work your way through it.
But as you experiment, I would also like to leave a few tips that could get you started. These are the most simple practices that I follow almost everyday.
I Turned the Notifications Off on my Smartphone
I do have the habit of checking my phone often but I realized that I did it only to either check the weather, read something, or reply to messages that someone had sent me. However, the other notifications on my phone distracted me.
