There are very few days in my life where I have not watched an episode of Friends. One of the reasons maybe because I do not have many friends in real life. I was born in the early 90s and was three years old when the first Friends episode was aired on TV. Back then, we never even had a TV at home.
I watched this show for the first time when I was 13, and I was too innocent to understand the dirty humour back then, but this show made me laugh out loud. This show was aired on only one channel and I never had the chance to watch all the seasons or episodes and there was no continuation, but I still watched it as much as I could.
When I went to college, I loved this even more. I could relate to the dirty humour by then, and boy, that made this show even more amazing. I can guarantee, I can watch any episode from this show anytime and I will laugh out loud.
Now that I have Netflix and a 50-inch TV at home, I am watching Friends for the third time in continuity. While there are a zillion reasons why I love this show, here are the top 10 that I could pick out.
The One With the Perfect Cast
I don’t know how the producers or directors of this show chose the cast for the show, but they did a great job. They just fit the characters perfectly.
But this doesn’t apply just to the main cast, even the guest appearances on the show were brilliant. Janice, Gunther, Richard and the girls Ross dated — that was sheer brilliance.
Friends was such a successful show that many other TV shows were just a rip-off if this with different characters and different scenarios. Still, they could never beat it.
Another good thing about Friends is that the main cast was together throughout the series before it ended on a sad, but good note. Yes, I was one of the people waiting for another episode where they would come back, at least 4 of them, but that never happened.
Even Google loves Friends so much that they have an icon next to every character’s name when you Google it, and…
